2010 E92 LCI and Pre Lci in the same year?

does anybody know when exactly was the first LCI produced for the E92? From what I understand 07-10 is Pre LCI and 11-13 is LCI but apparently there were some LCI models produced for the 2010 year? Anyone know the cut off for when the last pre lci model was produced in 2010 ?? As in which month??

I have a 2010 E90, its an LCI and was produced in 9/09. 2010 and 2010 model year are LCI from what I understand.

For the E90 LCI started in 2009 from what I've read. The E92 LCI is what I'm looking to find out which month was the first LCI model that came out. Or when was the last Pre LCI model produced in 2010?

My 2011 MY E92 was manufactured in 04/2010.
I believe this is one of the first LCI models with the N55 engine.

Ah I see, the reason I'm asking is I need a replacement M sport front bumper. I have a 2010 335i w/M sport and I ordered a 2010 m sport bumper from a junkyard but now I realize it might not fit because that might be coming from an LCI model.. and my car is a Pre LCI 2010 e92 335i. I wouldn't know for sure until I ask the junkyard the production date of that car correct?

That is correct. Ask for the VIN. Hopefully they even have such info.

Provided your car and the donor car are both MY 2010, then they are both pre LCI E92's. Build date is irrelevant.

MY 2011 onward E92's are LCI. The only cosmetic difference 2010 E92's have from prior years are the side mirrors. They're the same as the LCI model's. Hope that helps.

So wait am I correct or does build date not matter? So you're telling me as long as the donor car is a 2010 with the m sport package it doesn't matter when it was built?? meaning that even if it's LCI it should fit on my 2010 because the donor car is a 2010..?

LCI is always done at a model year changeover.

It's rare that a carmaker will make mid-model year changes that result in parts not being interchangeable, in particular body parts.
