Coilovers now or spring?
Hey guys. I have a new set of kw v1 coilovers and I would love to get them installed this week but I was wondering if anyone had opinions on if I should just wait til spring to get them installed since this is my daily.
I appreciate any input anyone has. Thanks |

You could install them and just keep it at stock ride height over the winter.

Ya I could raise it back up a little once it starts to snow. I didn't know I it would take much setup to adjust it though. I also didn't know if winter wears on them very much or not.

lol trust me I've been there too. I usually buy a pretty big mod that just sits there for months throughout winter. The key is to put it somewhere you won't see it everyday.

Doesn't really matter. Takes me 10 minutes to adjust height.
Minus the jacking car up, taking off and on wheels, etc. The only thing you'll want to do is if you drive it in snow/salt, make sure you wash it there often. you want to make sure you clear the threads so they don't seize. In the end, I'd just do it now. I mean... I installed my BBK in the winter.

I'd wait until spring. You don't want the car lowered in winter and it is a good idea to do an alignment every time you adjust the ride height. So potentially 2 extra alignments if you install them now and adjust the ride height for each season .
I do understand the difficulty of waiting while you have to stare at those new parts for months.

If you can get free alignments then just put them on now and enjoy!

I didn't wait. I got mines installed a few weeks back. I did have to raise the car because with 1-2 people in the back it would scrape, which really sucked but its my daily driver.

I ran KW V3 on my 335i all year long. There is a spray you can buy and it will help it from rust.
