Penumbra Overture is a great survival horror game, the best in the genre. I hear good things about World of Goo. Aquaria is said to be good as well. Never played Gish or Lugaru, so can't comment.

Support Indie devs, don't be a douche and give them under $1. Also, you can split the payment between the devs and charity.
