Favorite Restaurants on Long Island
Hey guys,
I know there's a thread for favorite NY/NJ restaurants but I wanted to give the Long Island dining scene much love and respect. I work at a pretty popular steakhouse on the island that I'm sure will be mentioned by somebody but am curious where people go to eat. My faves? Besito - Huntington/Roslyn. Toku - Manhasset. RARE 650 - Syosset. City Cellar - Westbury. Anybody else? |

I will just say any of the steakhouses on Northern, plus Blackstone which is sister to Rare650. Don Peppes is pretty good homestyle Italian. There is a Burger Paradise in Smithtown, but I don't know if it is good. The one in Bergen County is, so I assume it is as well.

Jared i totally agree Rare 650 is by far my favorite place on the island. Sushi and steak there is beyond anything else on the island and the owner are cool also. Infact the only place i have found that rivals their sushi is this place in the financial district in manhatten...Koodo Sushi. Sushi bar better then all the rest. check it out if you are down there.
Im going to have to check out blackstone. i will think of some more places later

Second, I can't see spending a $100+ everytime if I want to go to an Italian rest. Just like if I want to go out for a steak. I'm not always going to go to a place like Prime or say Paces. I'll go to The Outback. Third, some of my favorite cars are a BMW 335 and a Porche 911 turbo. Now I wouldnt put those 2 cars next to each other. |
