So, did you remove just the spring, or the spring and brass piece of the Thermostat?

I am wondering if you could have just bought adapters instead of taping and welding the plugs. I am working on putting the parts together for a retro fit soon (no oil cooler currently on mine). I think I have everything picked out and I am going with Setrab 625. I know on the AR kit the fittings on the cooler are facing down. Have you had any issues with the fittings facing up? I am also still trying to figure out how I am going to mount it. I am thinking just some of the nylon quick mounts that go through the radiator.

It really is. You can read up all you want about how to please a woman, you can look at all the diagrams in the world, but just like the clitoris, you won't know what the hell an apex is before you actually find it.

for oil to mainly flow through the oil coolers you have to leave the brass piece in to block off the bypass.

I ended up taking the brass piece out, and saw an estimated 15-20* drop cruising around town.

Has any one tried cutting small piece of the spring to re-call the system to a lower temp. I would bet the oem cooler is good as is.

the oem cooler is barely good for daily and spirited, but for track, you have to go aftermarket.

i am in hot florida so i am thinking about removing the oil thermostat after reading your post, are you still running this configuration? do you ever track the car? what temps are you running without tstat.

so do you remove both the springs and the bolt? not clear here?

Is this for those who don't have the oem cooler? Does it run in addition to the oem one? And what does removing the spring do?

Would it be simpler or any differences running the cooler in series with the OE one such that no adapter block or taping the T-stat housing are involved?
