Intake Cleaning Service at Dealership

I was offered an injector cleaning service at the dealer for my 335 via a machine. I was under the impression that this does not work for the 335 all for $295.. I inquired about the walnut blasting and it was $1k. Any advantage to the injector service or just a little add on sale?

Or you could remove the intake manifold and do it all yourself for almost nothing.

Try different dealership. I got my intake cleaned at the dealer for $400. As for injectors get a bottle of chevron injector cleaner and be done with it.

$1k for walnut blast is a lot. $400 is a damn good deal from a dealer. Mine was asking $700.

$1000????? That's ridiculous. $700 is too. It's booked at a 4 hour job. That means they charge $250/hr?

Injector cleaning is very different from a valve cleaning

Injector cleaning is almost completely useless, and a good source of $$$ for the dealership.
