Why does the Logic 7 system sound better in the sedan than in the coupe?

Every time I drive the sedan, I notice how much better the stereo sounds than in the coupe...why is that?

Do you have the same sound settings in both?
Bass, treble, equalizer, etc...

Yes, they are set pretty much the same for eq, bass and treble, etc... There is definitely a difference between the two - the sedan has a more "full" sound. I listen to both w/out the surround on (don't like it in either the sedan or the coupe).

Ja, the Logic 7 system sounds vastly different - and much much better - in the sedan as compared to the coupé.

This has to do with speaker placement and interior design.

Sounds better in the 550i than in the 330i also. (Maybe that's why I'm getting a 550i?)

The 6 speaker JBL audio set up on my sister's Camry Hybrid sounds better than the stock (8 speaker?) on my 325

acoustics dude. bigger and more square interiors usually means better sound. thats why the XB is one of the best cars for car audio competition.

+1. A rectangular box is ideal. The more upright the better. The interior of the coupe is not easy to work with because of the shape and the smaller available volume of space.

Sorry to go off topic, but I just wanted to say that YOU are the guy that actually went out and did it.....that is when people ask "why didn't you get an M6", the best reply is "because I can buy 2 335's for the same f**king price!"

Oh, and it's acustics

They are actually about as different as two cars on the same platform and with the same engine can be.
