E90 - Newbie Experience - HPDE Bondurant West - Arizona

@wildcat767676 watched the advanced class you were in and I still have a ton to learn! Sounds like you are 10sec faster than I, crazy! Very impressed by what this platform can really do when dialed in! You were in the same group as trailered all out race cars!
How were the runs with DTC off?

First time on a track with my own car and loved it. In my group were 510hp viper, 11 GT500, s2k, '11 550i, challenger SRT8, '11 M3 called in sick
4x 20min sessions. Viper had a 2x goPro fwd and rear facing. I was behind 2 sessions, in front 1 session. Footage will be great! We went all out in the straights no clear power advantage to overtake. I was hitting 115 on the straights. about 80 through the 1-2 dog legs in front of the pits, felt a little too fast with all the transitions.
SRT8 was able to come out of the late apex harder bc of LSD, but I would make up for lost time.
The three of us really made each other better, hit the lines, push the limits beyond what you thought the limits of each car were from around town driving.

New Member Class: Passing on straight only.
Pro Autosports: instructors are optional and available for every session if you want! Really a great all around experience and something I'd like to do monthly like some golf on saturdays, or bowl.

Instructor comments: Had fun in car, because i was willing to really go for it. Said next time i should probably jump to the level 2 - orange class. We used track addict iPhone app for one session. The results were very consistent times, consistent lines until we hit traffic. Car makes great power, plenty. Would like to see me on a set of sticky tires like NT01. FK452s just couldn't keep up.
I like when the instructor gets excited when your in the line perfectly feeding confidence just makes you work that much harder every lap.

Car settings: Cobb E30 Linear Throttle Map - NO limp mode today, nice job cobb! end of the day last run around 2:30 temps hit 2-3 ticks past halfway mark. Air temp was about 82 degrees. We had almost no traffic and were able to go as fast as we could = more heat.
Sport mode, and DTC limited seemed to work best. (didn't try dtc off) i wanted to drive the car home after the event Even on the straights the DTC was almost always blinking.

For the next visit:
  • 17" NT01 setup - Square to rotate?
  • Install M3 subframe bushings sitting in my garage.
  • high temp brake fluid - stock fluid boiled over, still no fade. All 4 rotors and pads were new; thanks CPO $0 maint.
  • Methanol just for extra cooling and timing not power.

Looks like LSD for my year is $2600+, just no budget for that. Hope the M3 bushings will help.

Thanks for sharing, looking forward to links to the footage. See if you can provide it when it gets posted.

What LSD did you price out? I didn't think they were that high.

I didnt get a chance to run near the GT500 here is a video from a run he had.

I spent most of the time with the SRT8 and the viper working through traffic. We were pretty close in skill set.
