Everyone needs to head over to the coding section and do some reading before cluttering this thread with useless comments. Please read the guides there as people have spent a lot of time and effort to explain things. There is also another forum dedicated to coding.

That said, if anyone else has trouble with getting it to work, I'd be happy to help as I did with Vasil. He had already attempted to do it himself and I truly respect that. For everyone else wanting to be spoon-fed information, please go to the coding section and read. You'll be doing everyone a favor.

I just got back from a test drive. I switched to Cobb Stage2+FMIC Aggressive and the car is rock solid! Also, my misfires/stubles upon cold start-up are now gone too! I love it!

I guess you found the solution to most of the misfires? It's not all hardware related after all!

Great job Vas. I've been trying to learn coding as well, but that section is difficult to navigate.

Well on bimmerboobs (LOL) dzenno is saying that his injector 1 has question marks for both "energy" and "flow" values. He's been trying to resolve a misfire issue for the past year.

I recommend that everyone checks their injector coding and verify that the injectors have their decoupling elements (seals) installed. The decoupling element is about 2-3 mm thick and without it, the injector needle will be protruding further into the combustion chamber and sit closer to the spark plug.

Cn555 You need to do some more reading before you play with INPA...have you done coding before? If not head to the coding section and do some reading...Dont mean to sound harsh so my apologies if I do..If you send me PMs I can try to help you out as much as I can..

Thanks vas for the video... Looks pretty simple to do if I ever do my own injectors..

And as far as dzenno not having his info inputted correctly that could easily explain his misfires? Hope thats his solution..

Wehewww! Just got Ediabas 6.4.7 and Inpa 5.02 installed on my Win7 Enterprise/64 bit. Now I need to order a cable.

Do you guys use the ~$50 DCAN INPA cables from China off Ebay?

damn! thanks for the info.
it looks simple enough that even i (i think) will be able to follow instruction and do it.
i used to be all scared of coding, but i'm excited for it now.
i think this should work on different things too right? i've always wanted coolant temp on my dash.

did you download the installer or the archive with the folders. if the latter, you will not need to install anything, the executable is in one of the folders. I don't have my coding laptop in front of m so I cannot give you the path.

There should be some install instructions in a PDF on the same download site.

Are you on a 32 or 64 bit Windows? You need the version I posted to use on 64bit.

Followed these instructions:

So the coded values did not match what was written on the injectors? Did you ever get misfire codes for these cylinders too? I would go back to the dealer and give them hell!

Glad you got everything sorted out and thanks for taking the time to do this

Thanks.

I assume the newer versions work on 64bit like 6.4.7? What version of INPA are you on?

So Vas, was it the incorrect coding of the injector or the missing seal which caused your misfire? I dont suppose you tried corrective coding before replacing the seal?

Also, did you end up using a slide hammer to yank that injector out?
