E92 Wheel size / suggestions

I have been doing a lot of browsing and I am seeing some pretty sweet set ups. I want to pick up a set of wheels but curious what fitment people are using, 19's 20's? How wide..

I am a fan of 5 double spoke wheels like the Rohana RC5's, I THINK I want to go 19's, thinking 20's is too big. I would like a nice fitment after It gets lowered. Nothing excessive, advice and photo's would be nice.

Its a Black E92 335i x-drive coupe.

Don't even think of going 20" IMHO. Looks awful. It's not a Chrysler 300.

Don't know why Kid Eh says 20" look awful, there are many on the forums with 20's and they look great especially the ones with Vossen CV3's.

But to the op 19's are a good size and the width really depends what cup of tea your sipping on.

For example do you want a meaty tire setup that's flush or do you want wide wheels with stretch and poke? etc.

I just want to sit flush with my body line, its AWD so I can't stagger them either... Sweet. And lmao to that Chrysler comment. I am comfortable with 19's. Any wheel suggestions?

It's because I have an opinion. Just like you do. That's like saying I don't know why Kid Eh likes chocolate ice cream.

I have 19s and they fill the wheel well nicely. 20's I think would be way too ghetto

Haha appreciate the OPINIONS guys, I am definitely going to go 19's. I don't really LIKE Vossen's simply because I think they are coming too much of a fad than anything. Leaning towards those RC5's

Another thing to take into account is the roads in your area. I'm running factory 19s and RFTs; they are great on smooth roads but if I have to go into DC or PG county I fear for the integrity of my fillings. Car actually rides much better on winter 17s, if I bought a car without wheels at all I would probably go 18s for summer use (except for the fact that BBS LMs aren't made in 18"... sigh)

The 19s do look fantastic though. I'm not sure how you would fit 20s without it looking rubber-bandy.

If you like 5-double-spoke wheels, I don't think there's a nicer looking wheel that fits that description than the factory 313s (335is wheels) for an E92.

With a xi, I'd say 19x9 or 19x9.5 square setup with 30-35 offset

this here. You can get 20s without rubber bands. I'm currently running 225/35/20 and 255/30/20. These are the same sizes that BMW put on their 19's for the the 335 from the factory (except mine are 20s and not 19s)

not trying to change you or anyones opinion...everyone is entitled to their own opinion...thats what makes us all unique. People say 20" wheels are ghetto and blah blah blah...the pics where to more less show how NOT ghetto 20s can look on our cars.

well, not lowering the sidewall height actually raises the ride height of the car and throws off the gearing... but yeah, those do look pretty good if you're OK with the compromises (lowering springs offsetting the higher height due to taller wheel/tire package)

I'd still pick 18s for daily driver practicality, but that's just me.

Taller ride height isn't a bad thing that just means you have more ground clearance to lower it. The taller tires should actually improve gas mileage and the speedometer will actually be more accurate. Personally I think 20's look good with certain styles of wheels, but I have 19's and I'm happy with them. 20's aren't for everyone.
