I am looking for some insight as to wether or not I should remove the alignment pin on the top of my front struts. I just lowered my xi on eibach prokit springs, and koni yellows. As I understand it, I could remove the pin myself, and roughly increase negative camber for now until I get an alignment. I would like to wait a few days to make sure the suspension has completely settled, so that a second alignment will not be necessary. My only concern is that the removal of this pin could have some sort of adverse effect. I can't understand how or why it would, but while reading a spring installation diy guide, the I noticed that the author strongly advised against this removal, without saying why it would be bad.
Any thoughts?

as long as you keep top 3 fasteners torqued properly after setting the position, you will be fine. Anytime you loosen the fasteners, you will need to recheck strut position and possibly reposition as the strut may move until fasteners are retorqued. You can always inspect from time to time but I haven't seen mine change.

Awesome, thank you. So the only reason someone would advise against removing the alignment pin would be fear of the strut changing positions?
