Ipod interface retrofit question

hey guys, i have an e90 330i and i'm trying to put in an ipod connection interface (not AUX, but the actual connector for the iphone). I did this in my previous E46 with a USA spec A cable. I was looking through the DIYs and didn't really find much information (probably wasn't looking hard enough lol)

I have the L7 system in my car

If you guys can point me in the right direction that would be cool!
