Harold

Looking good and defo interested in set for my car in the uk with z4 35is rotors.

Have you used the F30 heat shields ?

If I go for it, I would be keen on installing the heat shields too as they have better shape ducting to draw air into rotor.

Thanks,

Dave

Dave,

This R&D is strictly for the caliper retrofit only. I don't think we will fit the heat shields at all.

So I have to ask, ignoring the fact that the goal is to use the standard rotor size, is it possible to retrofit this all on if you were to get your hands on a 370mm rotor? Like maybe an upgrade for the Racing Brake two piece rotors to a 370mm disk and then just add these calipers without modification?

Harold,

Understood.

When will HPA be able to share the installation instructions as I need to decide if this retrofit is a DIY or draft the help of local indie BMW specialist to do the install.

Thanks,

Dave

Just as a quick FYI to this thread, Brembo seems to throw in booklets with part no. 98.5030.40 in with a bunch of different calipers, so I wouldn't assume that that's the correct Brembo part no. for these calipers.

I'd expect these to be made exclusively for F3X/F2X and to not have brembo part no. stamped, though I could be wrong.

The booklet is generic. I want to say this caliper is very specific for BMW applications only.

No reply yet from HPA on my query abt installation instructions. Seems odd, Harold care to comment ?

As these have been available to ship from HPA's website since April and it's now May has anyone out there taken the plunge and invested in F30 setup for our E9x cars yet?

If so, any feedback on the install and how does it compare to stock?
