Quick help - Resetting Low Tire Pressure Warning
How do I reset the low tire pressure warning on a non-iDrive car? I picked up the car last night and the cold temps must have dropped the pressure. Each tire was at 25 psi, so I inflated them to the proper pressure but need to reset the warning. The owner's manual was ZERO help.
Thanks! |

Rotate the knob inside the turn-signal stalk until the "tire pressure" symbol appears. Hold in the button on the end of the stalk until a "checked box" appears. I've found that this cannot be done immediately following the addition of air to the tires; I had to drive around with both the amber and exceedingly annoying RED indicator on before the reset would take effect.

I just bought my car and the dealer replaced the 2 rear tires. After driving for 10 minutes the tire pressure light came on. The front tire pressure is 30 psi and rear is at 35. I will put it to 35 all round.
When resetting it, should this be done as soon as the car is started, before taking off? Will the light disappear right away?
