Haven't had much time to even think about it. Will be tied up for at least another three weeks.

Put simply, it is the time to go from 3500 RPM to 6500 RPM. This shows the vehicles power over the majority of the useable rev band.

The name/method was started in the B5 S4 crowd (they used 4200 - 6500 but I altered this to get more rev band) and is an quasi-accepted testing method with them today.
So is this kinda like a "poor man's" dyno? Just a way to roughly calculate horsepower? I'll log my results and input my data this week to help with the collection of data... just curious.
Sorry if that is a noob question

^ basically, yes. allows you to have baseline timing of your cars acceleration in one gear( to take out the variable of good or bad shifting).

Well it's not a poor mans dyno, in fact it's better than a dyno in some ways because it shows real-world performance taking as many variables out of the equation as possible (as long as people are honest about road incline etc).

yeah, that's the "etc". Basically as long as people are honest, it's a good test.

exactly. i just want to use it to see if screwing with the user adjustables is helping or hurting the cars performance.
