To be honest these boxes have crossed my mind. When I get the F30 I'm determined to go away in it with the brood. So that'll be three child seats in a row and a roof box. Proper dad car!

Just expect your usual mpg to drop by about 10% when you have it on the roof. No intrusive wind noise either
Great. Think I'll order it this weekend

Thanks very much for your help everyone.

Better than buying a Galaxy or something else which is no fun what so ever to drive!

Zafira Turbo - listed in the dictionary as the definition of "understeer"

I think that goes for anything from Vauxhall that has a turbo.... perhaps with the exception of the VX220!

Ours is this one: http://www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbv...C4ure%60QNk%60

It's pricey, but we went for a duo-lift one so you can open it from either side which has proved really useful, and Kamei are basically the best designed and best quality boxes available.

Is looks like a missile on the roof too!

I agree, for you I think the short-wide Kamei Delphin 380 would be best.

And the whispbar pro flush aero bars http://www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbv...oFg6AwHuKi%7DD

We've got a perfectly usable Touran. But it's the principle of the thing.

So, you have the KAMEI Corvara 310 which 310 liters, and the Delhin 380 is 380 liters in capacity. i.e the number is the capacity.

Does that mean the Thule Motion 800 is 800 liters? I can't seem to find the literage, but that does seem like a lot of storage - more than twice as much as the 310. It doesn't look that big from the pictures.

I may as well go for the biggest possible now I know the Motion 800 looks OK on an E90 (I've also now sorted out somewhere to store it).
