just picked up 07 for 30k

i own a e46 m3 and lately it's been breaking down too much so i went to car max to look around. not to mention i wasn't planning to buy a car that very same day but i could not resist to get this fine looking e92 coupe.. it's space gray, automatic, full options navi, comfort acc, seat heater, it even has sun block on my rear window. car was on sale for 27k with 27k mileage.. yes very low mileage. i checked on carfax and it was one owner with good maintenance records without no issues. no accidents.. now i have to get my e46 on sale.. =T.. i have to say that im going to miss my m3 a lot.. my plan was to keep my m3 for another two years and jump onto e92 m3 but yea.. plan changed.. btw i spent another 2g to buy a full extended warranty with 150 deductiable.. i can basically take it to any bmw shop or car max and get it repaired. it covers upto 125k mileage.. do you think its a fair price? will post up pictures soon! thanks

EDIT:

Guys thank you for replies all pos and neg.
I know it's a 07 model but still this thing was shiny new and all the record was great plus not only that
I really needed a vehicle that following weekend so i just had to pull a trigger.
my extended warranty was little over 2grand with 72months or 125k coverage.
i believe i still have factory warranty and free maintenance until it hits 50k.
price of the car was 26999 but with tax and extended warranty it was little over 30k..
i am not going to return my car back to carfax. i like it and its free of mind because of warranty.
i forgot to mention that my extended warranty also covers free rental car $40/day and free road side assistance.
here are the pictures..

From what I've read the Carmax warranty is a very good value as far as aftermarket warranties go and Carmax seems to be pretty good at handling claims. The reason they can offer it at such a great price is because they make up the difference elsewhere. They pay less than average for used cars (which is why everyone, even dealerships, are willing to price match Carmax's offer or even offer $100 more), their "no haggle" selling price is higher than average, and they turn over a LOT of cars.

I wouldn't be too excited about buying a 2007 for $27K. That is a 6 year-old car now. Yes, low mileage for the year but factory warranty cover is a bigger deal than low mileage. You can get 2011s for mid $30s--what am I missing here?

I agree - I just bought my 09 w/ aftermarket B-to-B warranty and 54k on the clock for $25k. every option but cold-weather.

Nothing.
I think he paid too much too, no matter the mileage.
I bought my '08 a year ago for $25K, CPO and maint to 100K miles. No nav but everything else.

congrats on the "newer" car, but $30k for a 6yr old 3series is funny to me. oh well, too late now so no point in having buyer's remorse. live and learn.

Since we're all comparing notes: last Sept. I bought a 2011 e90 335i with 19,000 miles special order metallic paint, sport pack, comfort access, cold weather, heated steering wheel, HK audio, premium, wood trim, navi, bluetooth, BMW assist, 32 months of factory warranty left and the extended maint package and wheel/tire warranties included for $30,400. Obviously I got a pretty good deal and that won't happen every time but 2010s are attainable all day CPO from about $29K and on up for the 2011s and newer (in the case of coupes). I get that a typical e92 always costs about $1-2K more than the comparable sedan but $27K for a 2007 is all the money and then some.
Oh well, it is bought now and nothing can be done about price so enjoy the hell out of it. In the end, if it was a color combo you like and optioned up like you want it might be worth it to you. From my years in the car business I know that those customers that get "ripped off" are usually the happiest with their cars. It was always the customers that you lost money on and bent over backward to make the deal with that ended up burning you on customer satisfaction scores.

Thats a crazy price......I bought my CPO 2007 e92 fully loaded w/navi etc, 6-speed, 30k miles for $27.5.......that was in May 2010, sold in May 2011 for $26k with 47k. Guy who purchased my car sold it in Jan 2012 for $22.5k with 64k still under CPO. After that it went to auto auction with 75k miles and was sold for 18-19k

You guys are brutal. Way to prick the OP's ballon...

The OP can return the car within 5 days, no questions ask. At least this is what they claim.

If the deal is bad, he can still go back, particularly if he has not sold his M3 yet.

Carmax 5-Day Money-Back Guarantee*

Just saying...

Honestly, the car was overpriced, and for 30k you could of added 2k to that and had a low mile 09-10 (possibly a 2011) for that money. But as long as you love the car that's all that matters.

Since we are comparing notes, I picked up my 07 e90 328i SGM 50k miles for 15.5k in the L.A. area in December. It has a few light scratches that will buff out with a detail, otherwise flawless car. iDrive, full power non-sport seats, halogens. The dealer took quite a hit for me to help me get out of my Tundra, which had plummeted in value over the last 8 months, so I attribute this price to that. Original sticker was over 40k(came with the car), and they were listing for 21.9k.
