will morel 5.25" tempo fit in e-90?
I saw a pretty good deal on amazon for $295.00. Has anyone installed the tempo 5 in the front door of an e-90, ie depth issues?

Thanks for your prompt reply! I could see putting 5.25" drivers, the one adapter says 6.5". Assuming the depth is OK, what do you think or is 5.25" sufficient?

If it were me I wouldn't cut the door panel

And you only have 50mm to work with for depth on the sedan and wagon if you have a coupe its even less. That is why its better to follow the list . Info about top and botton mounting is contained in the list. There isn't much distance between the existing speaker center and where the door closes. If you have a lot of Bucks to blow then consider Jehnert Panels. Vist the website of the same name. This requires gutting the lower panels. You have to be careful you read the specs right and get cross verification for fit. |

You know these will not fit behind the door panels, right? So, you will have to top mount them to the cabin side of the door panel. In order to do that you will probably need to cut into the leather and the underlying panel to make the opening bigger and you will need to drill the mounting holes. Going back to the OEM speakers/grilles is not possible if/when you want to sell the car, just so you know. Also, a spacer is likely not required.

99.9% sure the answer is no! 50 or 51 mm is about it.

Thank god I was able to cancel my order! I can almost feel the pain of hitting that window. What is a reasonably priced set that would fit. I can't find Rainbow 4" components for sale. Would the slx 230 fit with an adapter or will depth again be the issue? Thanks for the input!
