Doesn't look that bad, it's only smash repair to a car. Get it fixed and forget it.

Sorry to hear this!
But at least no one is injured! Same qs as well...what to do if the other driver is uninsured?

Then your insurer will chase up the other driver and work out a payment plan or something for them and your excess will be refunded and this won't affect your no claims bonus. |

It depends on the type of insurance you have
You will be screwed if you have 3rd party insurance (property & theft) as your insurance company will not help you to make a claim against the other party. You will have to go after the at-fault driver personally or commence debt recovery action against him/her - a very long process! Conversely if you have comprehensive insurance, you shouldn't be liable for excess as long as you could prove that you were not at fault or the other party admitted he/she was at fault. |

Get a copy of the Police report and attach it to the insurance claim (the Ambulance was there, I assume the Police also attended the scene). |

Thanks for your support guys! Also thanks for the guys who called/messaged! It certainly made me feel better.
I'm not liable for excess as I provided my insurer with the driver-at-fault's details. Only thing is I won't be able to get a hire car as I didn't choose that option when I took out the policy. If the driver at fault was insured, I would have got a hire car regardless. They gave me the option of paying for the hire car myself and they will reimburse me once the other driver pays them!
