335d/330i comparison

have had my 335d for 4 years now and just bought an e93 330i se of same age which has done 9000 miles loaded with desirable extras. lovely car nad lan to fit a bmw performance exhaust. interestingly for 2 similar cars the driving experience is very different. the steering on the 93 is much lighter and although it has standard suspension id say on thr road at least it handle as well as the 92 with the perf suspension. the ride is certainly much more comfortable. mpg is 27 for the 93 and 35 for the 92. i was considering a new 335i e93 but now i have the best of both worlds.

Why would the steering be better in an e93? I thought a coupe would be more rigid?

You specify the fuel economy as being part of the best of both worlds statement. A 335i will return very similar figures to that.

Edit. I see you said lighter. I prefer a bit of weight on my steering wheel.

Garage List
The 335i/335d have hydraulic assistance steering, the 330 will have electric assistance.
