Thanks for the pics, I am chomping a bit waiting on my rims. So I assume you still haven't had any rubbing issues yet? That whole bent rim experience is getting me a bit worried.

no rubbing issues still.

I wouldnt worry about the bent rim thing unless lots of people report it. There have been dozens and dozens of these sets sold, and I have never heard about them bending accept for the ones that the guy got chromed.

Well if they are going to bend, they will bend within the first week of being put on my car. Thanks for the info and pics, they look great on your car.

Is your car lowered?
Also what kind of tires do you have and their dimensions? edit: I saw you already posted it.

Thanks

for not being lowered it does not look bad at all. I dont think it has a 4X4 look at all.

seriously... the car is not lowered. e92 ZSP is a low car to begin with... and the aerokit helps bring it down a tad too.

If i were you I wouldn't worry too much about it. I had the wheels on the car for a couple of months without any problems. The whole "bending" experience happened only after I installed the coilovers with the car very low in the back and my going over some really bad bumps. I think the wheels are very good especially for the price. Maybe the chroming did weaken the wheels to some extent. One of the rears DID crack, however. i had to have it welded. I will talk to Mike from **********s since I have been told these wheels should not have bent so easily, even given the circumstances. i will probably have them replaced with another set since i cant have them straightenned out everytime i go over some bad bumps... (not chromed, i guess).

Be sure to check for the bolts pad every now and then, Shaving the offset could weaken / cracked that area especially if they are not properly torque.

I spoke with Mike about the potential for weakening the wheel and he assured me that it shouldn't be a problem. I guess we will see.

If you look at the et35 front compared to the shaved et33 rear, there isnt much difference in the amount of metal left for the threads... if I remember, it almost looked like the et35 front wheel had less even though it wasnt shaved

Good to know, however strength is necessarily dependent on thickness. Again, I'm optimistic that this won't be an issue.

for the sake of being paranoid i stopped by a reputable tire store on my way to work, and had them check out the wheels tires... they took them off, checked the threads per my request, check the balance and roundness of the wheels, and basically added a quarter ounce of weight to one wheel which was slightly out of balance, and sent me on my way.

I specifically told them to check the thread area for stregth, and to check the roundness. Everything was perfect, they said that they have seen shaved wheels before, and these were done properly, and safely...

The car is smooth as butter.

Hope this helps!

These rims really do look great.

I'm nervous about the bending / cracking / rubbing fun, but hey - my fuel pump will probably fail first

Waiting to get PMs back on pricing, then will order - hopefully to arrive before my 335 does!

Those M6 wheels look HOT on the coupe. These are one of those wheels that look so great on the coupe but horrible on the sedan.

My pick would be morr's 19" 162's on the sedan, and m6 wheels on the coupe (of course)
