Brakes under warranty?

Hey guys,

Anyone know if the dealer would consider replacing the brakes under warranty. I know it\'s usually wear and tear, but is it part of the maintenance schedule?

Thx

Of course it is. Unless it has unusual wear.

Well that's good to hear. I did find it odd though that at 69k kiloms I was already down to 23k of rear brake usage. The messed up part is that I bought the car with 66.6k kiloms and the computer was reading 35k usage left.

That's 12k usage (computer reading) and me only actually doing roughly 2200 kiloms. Very off!

What about warped rotors? Mine shudder rather violently, but only at triple digit speeds, like when I'm braking after a 1/4 mile run.

You know what I haven't noticed any weird pulling or shifting. There is no noise or rattling/shaking. But it seems like they're being used up much quicker than normal.

I'll have to find a good SA and go from there.

definitely it is under warranty. You want those changed out before your warranty expires if you can
