Who has ebay caliper covers?

I know it's cheesey but I love the look of the bright red brakes but performance-wise I'm very satisfied with the factory brakes. I have a 2009 335i coupe. I painted mine but still wasn't satisfied. I found a set of Brembo caliper covers on eBay for 35 bucks. I don't wish to pretend I have brembos but they are the only ones I see.

Has anyone bought these before? The ad says crap about not fitting every single model but that it fits 95% of them. They install with silicon glue. Anyone done this before with or without issues?

Please don't do it, everyone will laugh at you. Seriously. There is a jet black e90 near my house and this person painted their stock brake calipers red, that's okay but the worst part is that he/she put on brembo decals. It's seriously a laughingstock. So in conclusion, painting it is okay but brembo decals is a no no. If anything you may want to consider the bmw performance decals. Some guys on here have it, it looks pretty good. At the very least you aren't pretending to have brembo brakes.

I love my plain ol' gloss black calipers and rotor hubs.

Whatever I mean.. Flame me but I'm
A fan of the look. I'll probably mod them to get rid of the Brembo imprint but I won't let the flaming effect my decision.

i wanted them to be honest at one point because i liked the look but look in to the mgp calliper covers. Its not glued on and does say MGP instead of brembo and i think you can even choose BMW instead for the decal. ive decided it wasent a big of a deal for me and buying brembos were useless to me as i dont track. I heard that its best for tracking but not to sure.

Seriously, this thread again? You're not likely going to see too much support on here for that haha. What the forum is essentially trying to say, is if you want to know if they will fit or not, your penance will be the $35 to try it out yourself.

Do something original, like paint them in a zebra stripe ro checker board pattern. That will get attention and not make you a poser.

Aside from being the ultimate poser, the covers affect the heat dissipation properties of the caliper and your braking performance could be compromised the one time you need it the most. I wouldn't do it... Think about it.

Depending on your clearance, your wheels may also hit the covers. To each his own, but I say spend the $35 on caliper paint. Plus, what are you gonna say when someone checks out your brakes and then calls you out on having plastic covers? You may not care, but I would be embarrassed.

I live in a city where having a BMW itself is extremely rare. No one here knows the difference between caliper covers or actually calipers.. No joke.

Just because no one else may know the difference doesn't mean that you don't know the difference. Either way man, post pics if you do it.
