New and saying hello
Just thought I'd say hello as I'm new to the forum but been reading the posts for a while I have a 2005 e90 330d in black with champagne leather I think! ( it's light cream) and it's a manual which I've heard is quite rare and it's has I drive. But it's missing heated seats but beggars can't be choosers. I'm already in the process of modding it so far it's been mapped and had the dpf removed. Black grills and tints to the windows and had the mv3s painted black. ill get pics up tomorrow as it needs a good clean!

Hey buddy,
Good to have you on the forum welcome along. Got any pics? Sounds like you've done a nice few mods to it already which is always welcomed on here. What other plans do you have? |

Hi AWBimmer the mods I've got in mind are 335 exhausts and diffuser lowering and some 19's thinkin about carbon fibre lip spoiler and rear diffuser and front splitters but not sure with the car being black don't know if it will look right. I'll try and get some pics up but won't let me thru my iPhone so I'll get some up soon.
'V' cheers mate I got it mapped fat a place in Sheffield calls slt remapping and diagnostics they've done a really good job car pulls really well. The clutch started to slip at 2500 rpm so got a new clutch and it's all sorted luckily my pal is a technician at BMW so he did it for a decent price. The mileage is 85000. So far it's a great motor loving it |

Yeah up north chesterfield about 20min from Sheffield. I'm happy with the remap it should be makin roughly 280-290 bhp would like to get it on the rollin road. You asked if I had any problems with the clutch is this from experience?

No not from experience. It's one of the reasons I haven't had my 330 mapped tho.
I'm on a manual like you and the dear of destroying the clutch puts me off. Think I'll still do it but want to have the cash behind me if the clutch goes as I can't be without a car for any length of time. Thinking of the Evolve switch so I can revert to standard if I have issues and put the map back on when all is good. Would love to be back up near 300bhp!! |

Well tbh I think the fact the original clutch had 80000+ miles was something to do with it slipping. Because as of now it's fine. Go for it!!! I've heard good things about evolve on this forum if I was nearer that's where I would have gone.

I'm not even at 50k on a 56plate so hopefully the one previous owner looked after it. I kinda know he did as he was an old giffer who I doubt ever thrashed it, may have ridden the clutch a little tho! Pop up a to do list, sounds like you have some good plans |
