Guys, I've M3 cluster here virginized and coded to car,
everything works fine but in CIC, speed limit shows KM/H obviously units are set to US (MPG, Miles, etc) looks like KOMBI is from Canada (?) any ideas how to fix it? I guess its in eeprom dump |

I've coded cars where it would set to KM even though CCC/CIC shows Miles but you have to enable KM then go back. |

Did you look at coding block for WARNUNG_GESCHW_LIMIT ?
It's in the KOMBI trace file so it's data should already be in NETTODAT.TRC when you read coding of KOMBI with NCSEXPERT. NCSDummy has it at address 300006 for info. Maybe worth looking around there for a MPH / KMH switch? |

its interesting
WARNUNG_GESCHW_LIMIT is not set to anything, i.e. there is no line for it in TRC TRCs: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3dpdtpxayk...W_FSW.txt?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/95a5ezmopn...T_TRC.txt?dl=0 |

Love this thread, simplified the procedure for me no end!
Looking into possibly trying this out on my E82 using a cluster from E92 M3... In theory would it be possible to copy the hex data from my EEPROM chip on the E82 cluster and overwrite the information to the E92 cluster.... (probably the more difficult way of doing it as opposed to just 'virginizing' the E92 cluster...) Also then how would I scale the warm-up lights from the S65 to the N55 or would that take care of itself? Then it would just be a matter of modifying the E92 cluster to fit an E82 but ill get to that issue when the time comes Thanks KJ

Does anyone have a good EEPROM read by any chance that I can transfer into mine as I can't read the original EEPROM from the used M3 Cluster? I need one with KM/H original. TIA

Hey everyone, I purchased the MiniPro from eBay and an 8 pin SOP clip. I can't for the life of me get it to read the eeprom. I keep getting an "OverCurrent Protection actions! External short circuit/IC reverse or damaged!" warning.
I have the SOP clip attached to the cluster and have selected m35080 V6 (even though my eeprom is 080D0WQ) Am I missing something? Thank you.

yes, thats right,
load bin on programmer itself before soldering eeprom on board not all programmers can do it on circuit so just to make things safer it will copy mileage from CAS on first power up |

Thanks Levanime for the .BIN file and advice, it has successfully loaded into my new IC chip and soldered on the cluster this morning. All mileage has been cleared to 0.
However, my question before I plug it into my car. The temperature is now read Fahrenheit instead of Celsius, the mileage is now show in Miles instead of Kilometers. How can I change these value back to Celsius and Kilometers? (My car is a Canadian model) Thanks |
