Swapping pre-LCI side mirrors with LCI mirrors???

Is it possible to swap LCI side mirrors onto my pre-LCI 335i w/o any problems?

My car currently has power fold, auto dim, memory pre-LCI side mirrors and I'm looking to trade another forum member for LCI side mirrors that also have power fold, auto dim, etc.

1. Is there any coding that needs to be done?
2. Is it a perfect swap (perfect fitment)?
3. Are they both "plug n play?"

Thanks

As long the mirrors have the exact function, yes it is plug and play. If you have an E92, you don't have to take the door off to swap the mirrors, all you need to do is to remove the tweeter molding. No coding is needed. I've changed my LCI mirror to Pre-LCI with no problem.

yea you have to remove door panels but its easy. but why would you want to go to LCI mirrors. The pre-lci ones look so much better

I did the swap the other way. From LCI to Pre-LCI & it's just plug and play, as long as it's the same function.
