As a distributor, Eisenhaus is ultimately responsible for its products; however, Industry is likewise as responsible as a reseller. Thus it is the reseller's duty to deal directly with it's clients.

For warranty issues, it is obvious to deal directly with the manufacturer. But if, for example, I discovered my XBOX 360 were fake, I would return it to my Best Buy for a refund, not Microsoft.

I don't have a fake eisenmann, actually don't have a bmw anymore either. But a simple refund would not do it for me. I would try my hardest to make sure these guys (eisenhaus) DON'T DO BUSINESS AGAIN! If they give everyone a refund, yet continue to conduct business, then I would be infuriated. The announcement on their website sucks too. Not once did they admit they actually sold fake exhausts. HORRIBLE! A class-action law-suit is DEFINITELY in order.

Ebay would be a good example of this. You can buy an item like gucci sunglasses on ebay from a powerseller with a very good feedback rating. But once you get it, you suspect it to be a fake. So you demand a refund. The seller will have no problem in giving you a refund. You get your refund and forget about the whole ordeal and not even leave a negative feedback, while the seller continues to sell fake stuff. Happens all the time.

Read the letter on the first page again. eisenmann never made a "Meisterschaft" version of their exhaust to begin with. So Eisenhaus some how relabeled it in the US of A and sold it a Meisterschaft. I don't see how you paid 400-500 more?
