Given that this feature doens't even exist yet, it might be a tad earlier to start thinking about what systems it will work with.

This looks like a great technology. When it becomes available, I hope that this functionality can be enabled with a software upgrade.

I saw on crackberry that BB OS 6 would be available on Bold 9700.

I guarantee this is going to limited like the movie playback. I'm sure people will get around it...at an extra price though. BMW just can't leave this open to liability....the ability to use it while moving WILL be limited.

First BB to have this feature will be the Pearl 3G and it has this software built-in so if you have an 09 idrive system or newer and you get the 3G, your golden from what I hear.

i have a blackberry storm and it looks as though this feature will not be released until blackberry os 6.0 comes out.

Once again, I point out that this feature does not exist yet and is only speculated about on the internet. Its pointless to keep posting "will this work with XX model year, and what else will I need to have to get it to work..." when we know exactly nothing about this option. In fact, we do not even know if it will really be available in the states in any form.

I tried this with my 2011 and my BB torch and it doesnt work for now anyways... At least my BB contacts syncs to the car and to the Navi.

certainly not a necessary feature but very nice to have.
