Headlight Error

I have an e90 330i with halogen headlights. No coding done to my knowledge but when i start my car, i get the adaptive headlight error light come up and beep whether they are on or off. Any idea why?

Sorry if it was already posted somewhere, but i couldnt find anything.

running light possibly i unplugged mine so my halos just light up without that gay halegon running light. so just put your running lights on and get out and see if thats the problem or not
