E92 335d to M135i
Whilst in getting my satnav discs, I got talking to a pal of mine who works in there as a sales rep. I've read a few reviews and watched a couple of videos about the M135i and although im not keen on the looks, they get amazing reviews. Configured one in Estoril and the light leather, lots and lots of options ie park assist, reversing cam, comfort access, adaptive suspension etc etc, and on a PCP it's only £30 more a month. Has anyone had a drive in one? Whats peoples opinion? Rapid pig!

drove a 3 door, quick, good noise (albeit slightly faked but i couldnt really tell) great 'box with the zf 8spd, picks up well (better than my n54, but could also be down to ratios) just too small for me, handling a lot better than the twitchy 130 i had

I drove a well specced one over the Christmas break. Very rapid, with amazing low down torque, pin sharp steering and good progressive brakes. The one I tried had standard suspension, which I found just too firm. I have been looking everywhere for one with adaptive dampers, but I can't find one within a reasonable distance. Apart from the firm ride I'd have one tomorrow.

First option for me is to try BMW's adaptive set-up. It made a world of difference to the M3.

I find it interesting that they design/build/release a car which, by all accounts, has not so good suspension/set-up, but want you to tick a box and spend more money to fix it. Awesome.

I agree. I suppose for some it will be acceptable. Maybe if you come from a 3 or 1 series with runflats.

The one I have specced has the auto box and adaptive suspension. Plus enough gadgets to keep any techno nerd busy for a bit! Oooooh what to do!

Just test drove a M135i auto with the adaptive suspension. I thought it was great, quick, nimble, made the rubbish roads around where I live feel like they had been resurfaced. Getting back in my 335d it felt heavy, cumbersome, still crashy over bumps, and that is with the full Birds kit fitted! (which is much better than std)
I would have happily bought it, but I think I must have been wearing a MUG sign somewhere as the dealers offer was not the most attractive for my wallet Jason |

The demo I drove at Cotswold Cheltenham had adaptive, though a manual.
Notice they have another there too, blue with beige interior.

Just phone Cooper, they do still have it. Only a staff member has got it and has left it at the airport while on holiday FFS
