I had the same issue a few months ago when trying to put my winter setup on. I ended up quitting and just using the spacers all winter. Eventually though, when I return the car, I will want them back. I didn't put too much effort into it mostly because I was afraid of damaging them. Aluminum is easy as hell to dent!

We may have spoken earlier this morning but have you tried tapping the ends with a rubber mallet?

Just whack at them with a rubber mallet. The force you exert is much less than the force of bumps in the road.

Basically it has either corroded and fused together with rust or, depending on the material of the hub and spacer, they can fuse together ( i forget what this process is called)

+1 mallet will work
use never seize, thats what I do whenever I work on anything in the engine room on my ship.(main engine bolts are tightened to-600 bar and it still works)
Sometimes we use heat/ice to get frozen bearings out or 6 ft. sledge hammers when nothing else works......

what i did is i spray some WD40 between the brake and the spacer, and put a flat head screw driver between them...slowly move the screw driver, then it pops out!

Are you kidding? I feel like this is guaranteed to put a dent in the spacer and in turn, screw up your alignment.

use two metal spacklers to slide under the spacer. I use two because it is less likely to bend the spacer.Keep doing it on opposite ends and it will come off. Next time buy rogue engineering spacers because they are notched so you can get something underneath it to take them off.

Another thing you can try is a plastic putty knife. Or something that looks like this:

The plastic will prevent any marring of the spacer.

Please, I had to literally beat mine off a claw hammer and a sledge. They fused to the rotors and were not coming off. Had to use the claw part of the hammer and a small sledge to hammer it in between to pry it off. Horrible. Ruined the spacer needless to say although they were messed up anyway.

Mine comes off easily as well, but I have seen a member who had to chiseled his spacers off because they were stuck on. I'm not sure what is the culprit, but his was glued on...took nearly 30 mins to get both sides off.
