Modding and WIFE

Man i owned the car for 3 weeks now and i love the car...Its giving me something to do besides the house and the kids thing, which i love but it i also need time for myself which is cleaning and modding the car...Everytime i want to do something or buy something for the car, she gives me lip...I wanted the Procede and she gave me hell, but i ordered it anyway...They just don't understand what or how it feel to modify a car...All they know how to do with a car is drive!!...Girls just don't understand modding a car thing.

it's brand new and you're sick of it already?

I'm getting the 335i cause my boyfriend won't let me finish my MR2 turbo. He says it's a waste of money. I'm still keeping the car but I can't touch it til we buy a house. We didn't speak for 2 days cause of the MR2.

Yeah its not about getting sick of my car, I like to modify it and do things on it myself, consider it a hobby of some kind....I have 2 kids and i need an outlet for myself to have some peace and quiet sometimes. I love my family life but if you have kids especially young ones, you'll understand taking some time for yourself...Besides driving it modding...

I do appreciate having time to tinker, and mods have allowed me to keep a car longer and not get sick of it (had an E30 for 8 years)

I haven't moded any of my current cars, but I've only had them about 2 years

I guess I'm lucky. My wife gives me mods as presents. I have an ACS exhaust on my current car and she already told me she wants me to get an exhaust for the 335 when it comes.

Did you install the procede yet? It's worth every penny. Mod away. After the procede all of my mods were relatively inexpensive: Aluminum pedals, painted reflectors, rear spoiler, front aeor lip. I had to have the M6 wheels and good performance tires which cost a little more though (around 2300).

Thats SO not true. Women mod themselves all the time, but they call it "Pampering". Add up all the Manicures, Pedicures, and Spa treatments in a year, then see how many PROcedes you could have bought. Secondly, women love the "boob" mod and thats like 4 PROcedes.

Im pretty sure you just need to "rationalize" with your wife in these type of terms and you will be happily modding from now on.

Maybe she wants you to be a practical grown up and use the mod money for things like................ your kids.......... or put money away for savings?

just a hunch

Don't want lip about your mods, don't tell her. Just do it.
Chances are, she won't notice the mods on your car.

Bingo!!!

Besides that, many mods decrease the value of your car if you ever want to trade it in.

Guys like me will not buy a modified car period.

You could always modify your wife... buy her a set of bolt-ons and then you both will enjoy modifying!
