Nice cars to be fair.
If I had the money I would probably have one on my list.

Congrats!

They're not bad, but I'd rather buy an Audi with a genuine quattro drivetrain than the haldex junk.
For less money you could get a B8 S4 which overall is a much better car

I know where you're coming from but here lies the problem....my buddy Jay has an MRC Stage 2 B8 S4, which is dropped on Ohlins etc etc etc and we are bad enough when it comes to competitiveness, so having the same car would be a nightmare!! Also the S4 IMO is a little bland looking and too big for me. I like a nice compact car that's full of surprises, I'm a hot hatch boy at heart!

No worries buddy. In fairness the kit is all about that front bumper so I've not taken many pictures of the rear!

I do have the other quad pipe conversion rear valance ready painted in gloss black sat in my garage too should the buyer want that.

Kit is from Chris@******** but if you want one and have an E91 then drop me a PM as mine could be for sale.

Fit is absolutely spot on. Having a bodyshop you trust/know their work is good is also a bonus.

Free bump for you!

I saw your car in the flesh this evening and have to say it looks very nice, it would be a shame if you have to put it back to standard to sell it.

I kept an eye out for you but you left town whilst I was queuing in the chippy!

Chris

Thanks Chris. Appreciate the comments. It's a bit dirty at the moment because of the rain! Front bumper has taken a little abuse too so would get it re-sprayed if it was staying.

I was in the Indian as Friday night is curry night! Saw your silver wagon outside the chippy, looked hella clean.

I wouldn't buy an RS3.

They are known for not being very good. You'd be better buying a current Golf R or S3 over the old RS3.

I'd not chop a 335i for a S3 or R though.

Had a shot of one and was very underwhelmed.

Chris Harris explains not too badly here.

I wondered how long it would take for that video to turn up!

I'm not that fussed about what monkey says as I know for a fact the 135i was on supersports and having owned a 400bhp S3 know how to dial out the under steer.

Not keen on the new S3 or the golf R either and wouldn't swap my 335i for one, so we agree on that one!

I'm sure I'll be underwhelmed with a stock one too but it won't be stock for longer than a few days and the power will be useable everyday.

Oh and gotta love a 5cyl lump on full chat!

Any half decent driver who has driven the RS3 says the same.

It isn't a good car at all.

If that's what you want though, on you go. It's your choice.

Still a lot of cash to pay for something that isn't very good. The current S3, R and the future RS3 and R400 will all hit the RS3 value.

Audi make some good cars, but their quality and appeal is blown way out of proportion for reasons I've not quite figured out.

I guess when you are fashionable, that's all that matters.

Not sure fashionable is the right term. Audi make good cars IMO and obviously know what they are doing when it comes to Endurance racing (Le Mans, Spa 24hr, Nurburgring 24hr) to name just 3. I loved my S3 and wished I hadn't sold it if I'm honest so an RS3 is the next logical step.

Don't get me wrong here Kerr, the E91 335i is an immense vehicle and it's been a pleasure to own, given me zero hassle, responds well to tuning and if I'm honest, in its current guise is the best looking of all the cars I've owned over the years. So much so I did consider using this money to continue its journey and make it show worthy but in the end the RS3 just appeals to me more.

I looked at the R400 golf but for me they just don't have the same character they used to. Had a mk5 ed30 in the past, loved that thing too, great cars. I also looked at a very well spec'd brand new S3 and can get one for the same sort of money as the RS3 but they just don't do it for me looks wise, too boring. What makes it worse is the optional extras on the S3 are available to all the model range so the only way to tell an S3 is the 4 pipes.

I doubt this will be my last time I dip my toe in to the BMW waters, but it'll be with an x-drive version. Actually, that's a thought....

Bernard had a bath so figured I'd take some pictures. Realised there was a real lack of rear end shots and zero of the engine bay, so here we go:
