330xi Alignment

Hey guys,
Did anyone get an alignment on their 330xi?
If so, did you get it done at the dealer?
Dealer wants to charge $190 for the alignment.

My car is pulling to the right and the dealer said i must of hit a pothole.

get a quote from mavis or some other tire shop... Run flats can also pull the car one way or the other but if its a noticeable right pull you probably knocked the alignment off. If you think 190 is a high price shop around

My dealership wanted $300 so I left and went to the guy I normally use and he said it was caused by my tires he suggested dismounting the tires and swapping from side to side.

Mine is fine at highway speeds, goes totally straight. When I brake with any force though it likes to jerk to the right. I'm pretty sure its the RTFs.

My 330xi has 6700km on it, of which 3300km on the original Conti's and the remainder on Dunlop Winter Sport M3 DSSTs. It drives totally straight, no pulling, no shimmy, brakes straight on both sets too. I guess I got lucky with the alignment done at the factory.

I decided to cough out the $190 and get it done at the dealer.
The dealer said the right front wheel is knocked off a little. I wonder what exactly that means. Is there some setting that is adjustable?

Anyhow, I did hit some pretty big potholes in chicago! Couple of times. The city should pay for the alignment.

My dealer only charges $150 and uses the latest Hunter machine. You guys were gouged. My car was aligned after I lowered it.

i don't go to dealer. I have 325xi. I went to a bmw only shop. $85 for that. As long as the machine is still new, that will be good.

There is some degree of adjustability, but not much.
