Aero lip fitment question
Hey guys, planning to buy someones aero lip locally, but he said he doesn't know how the fitment is as its never been mounted. If I go look at it is it possible to just put it up against the bumper and see how it fits? or does it actually have to be mounted to know the fitment. Also, any specific areas to pay attention to?
thanks |

I have seen several reps in person and none of them fit bad at all, one of the local guy picked it up on Ebay for maybe $40.
And yes these reps are all made in PU.

[QUOTE=1QuikWS6;12822508]OEM Aero Lips are made from VERY flexible PU - not rigid at all
I should clarify its rigid compared to the reps (which is PP usually), i've felt both in person. OP, just follow what 1QuikWS6 said and just go and test fit it. If its a quality lip, it'll just fit over like a glove. |

find out who makes it and go to their web site and see what they say about it. I got mine from BMW and the fit is perfect. And yes with an extra set of hands you can check the fit, but weather the screw holes line up, you won't know until you install it. hope this helps. GL

I have a Rep and it looks great and fits perfectly!
You should be able to get a good feel for how a rep will fit by holding it up on the bumper. Key fitment areas are the two upright pieces near the middle and the end caps.

The reps are Soft in comparison to OEM. OEM is a solid shaped part.
Rep will deform over time and not fit perfect. Also all the reps ive seen arent the same on the bottom. Oem is shaped to fit the underside perfectly. All the reps arent shaped to exact fit down there but look close cause of the supporting screws. Oem is oem no matter how u look at it. |

Mine is from PU, very flexable, but was touch to prep before painting.

ChasVS, do You have factory adjusted suspension? If yes, how many inches is between road and sides of aero lip and how many between road and middle of this lip?
