Here's the Printout with both curves from before and after my Dinan Stage II

Blue is Pre-Dinan Stage II
Red is Post-Dinan Stage II

Gains: 41whp, 58wtq

Not Piggyback numbers, but I'm happy enough!

Stock, no mods. Then Dinan Stage II only, I got no other mods....plan a cold air intake at some point.....exhaust maybe after my warranty runs out.....

No, boost wasn't measured....but most guys here with DSII and boost gauges run mid-13s max boost....

LOL! ya, the more time I spend on here, the more and more I realize that there is even MORE to do, hahahah...

I think I'm going to wait right now on other engine mods, except an intake....
Right now, I'm concentrating on aesthetic mods....my rims will be here soon, lowering this weekend, some Rice-esque cosmetic stuff (emblems, badge, grilles) and tint.....

but thanks for the advice!

So it makes the same power as a $280 JB+ and does so while running pig rich? I know there is a margin of safety to be gained by running rich with increased boost, but dipping below 12:1 at 3800rpm and below 11:1 at 5000rpm is a bit much, especially with direct injection.

Have fun with those pig rich AFRs. Most people buy reflashes to get rid of AFRs like those shown above.

Smartys,

Thank you for posting the dyno results here. This provides the community with fact-based material on which to base decisions and evaluations.

It looks like you're happy with the tune--and that's what should matter to you.

I'd call Dinan, no way is it supposed to run that rich... You should be picking up more like 60hp minimum if it's running 13+ PSI, that's 5 over stock.

On an original jb3 beta map I picked up 70 running 11:1@13 psi in 100*F weather...

There's gotta be something wrong.

If your dyno is any indication of what I have right now, I'm very disappointed. WTF?

Not to say that I'm not happy with my car...I love my car. I do realize that I could be making much more power with Procede or JB3. However, I did purchase Dinan prior to knowing anything about the aforementioned piggybacks, and I'm glad that I'm covered under warranty.

Shameful (on Dinan). Even with 18% (high IMHO) claimed loss through an automatic transmission, that's estimating 371 at the crank. What happened to the so called 384? Yes, I realize that 384 is supposedly with their free flow exhaust. If I'm not mistaken it used to be 384 with just the Stage 2 flash.

I would be satisfied with 325 whp with Dinan Stage 2.

325 whp @ 15% drivetrain loss = 382 at crank. WITHOUT exhaust!

Assuming the scaling is similar, the post DINAN S2 is not as smooth as the stock lines and actually more in line with the piggy's boost curve.

I agree. Hence my happiness with 325whp = 382hp with 15% loss.

I used 18% to give them a little grace, even though it's high. They are still short, based on the OP's dyno.

I agree, I think it's def running rich! I don't know if it's part of the tune, or if something's up, but I forwarded the dyno results to my SA, and will chat with them sometime soon...

When I spoke to the guys at the Dyno place, all of whom are tuners (mainly Subarus), but well informed, well recognized and respected tuners in Toronto, they were quite impressed with the gains, and I told them what the Crank numbers that were advertised by Dinan. Those dudes told me that I should expect an 18% DT loss in a REAR wheel drive vehicle because of the longer drivetrain......but I hear so many different things, I don't know what to believe....

With regards to that dip at 2-3k rpm, YES, I do feel it, it feels like lag, hhaah....I actually didn't feel that when I initially flashed it, and I wonder if my HPFP is starting to fail a bit cause I've been getting longer cranks as of late, and if you saw a thread I started a few days back, when I took it to the dealer, they said there was a "low pressure fault", but the service tech was directed to "reset the adaptation"....but I still get longer cranks (slightly) on cold starts.......that could also be why it's running so rich???

At the end of the day, dyno numbers are SO flippin variable, I don't look at them anymore from anyone unless a person has a pre and post from the SAME place. that's why I did my Dyno pre flash and post flash from the SAME place, the only parameters that were different were 1.) the flash 2.) the temp (which was outta my control). If I put on my summer tires and lightweight Morr VS8s, the numbers probably would've been better. I do think that 40hp and 60tq gains are quite respectable all things considered, and like I said, I'm happy with it....and bear in mind that this is an E93 we're talking about, which is about 400lbs heavier than the coupe......

Buttt, I do want to speak with those guys, and have them check out my hpfp again.....

Anyways, I just wanted to contribute to the community......
