09 LCi STEREO unit not powering up in the morning

Hello, im a lic mechanic and can fix almost anything with ease, I have 09 335D (LCI) with Audiophile package, car has yellow speakers everywhere but im not sure what EXACTLY type (has speaker under windshield in the dash) of the system it is. Recently it became very cold in my region -20 at night, and my concern is that the stereo power unit is not turning ON, (no power to the main unit) when car is being parked overnight!

There is an error in the dash (SOS) and a code that i can reveal from the dash - CCID299 ( CC-ID-299 )
I have tried to scan the car with Snap-On Verus Pro without success
Last year while having a similar issue (read below) ive used a trick of resetting ***WHATEVER IT IS with removing and plugging back in FUSE #14 but now it only works when the interior of the car is somewhat warms up! It almost feels like when it is cold inside of a car, some kind of a connection is being stretched a part and not transferring power or ground but when the car warms up a little, you can reset whatever it is by R/R this fuse

Last winter i had similar issue causing my OnePlus 2 being connected to the car through bluetooth and causing stereo to malfunction, but the fix there was to remove phone from bluetooth memory and simply NOT to use bluetooth that is in the car!

I also want to mention that I installed iDatalink remote starter few years ago and when doing so Ive messed around with those 2 boxes in the driver footwell, I think they are "Bluetooth" module and some kinda "SOS" module, but when starting the car with them disconnected, stereo/dash still powers ON but simply NO sound from speakers, so im thinking it is very different concern!!

Would be VERY VERY much appreciate if someone can throw me a link or advice me on direction to which i should look into!!!

***EDIT: Battery was replaced with proper one this past summer and all necessary coding with replacing battery was done!!!
***EDIT 2: I DO NOT have navigation nor head up display of any sort, the stereo and all of the wiring in car is completely stock and unmodified!
I do have an amplifier in the DR side underneath the cover in the trunk, i also have factory bluetooth in the middle of the trunk under cover and of it is OPTICAL system!

Could be the battery is weak and the IBS (Infernal Battery System)
is kicking in and doing what it can to save the battery for esstential
tasks such as running the car and starting it.

Read first pdf about the IBS and what it does and what triggers it.

Also could be anything in the stereo that is effected by extreme cold solder joints broken traces cold sensitive components.

Try leaving it on battery tender overnight and see if the problem is still
there . Probably a weak battery if the charger works on it.

There are a lot of electronics in these and the systems tend
to be convuluted and non standard. Read all those electrical
pdf's if you want to begin to understand the electrics.

To get a full diagnostic and coding setup buy a Bimmergeeks
cable and setup Ista D/P and the Inpa suite on your PC.
Cost less than 50 bucsks and its what BMW used program wise
for the life of the car.

See the coding subforum.

Individual stereo system not mentioned much in the above
but it shares most of the same characteristics as the logic
7 with more speakers and a bigger amp.

I am also good with using NCS expert BUT very limited interaction with INPA, can anyone guide me through steps of diagnosing this with INPA?

You are better off setting up ISTA D as its all in English
more fault tolerant and is like a shop manual which also guides
your troubleshooting.

Still searching around for some help, and still "resetting" stereo by fuse #14 few times every day!(((
Ive stopped by the BMW Dealer parts department and quickly explain my scenario to a parts guy and he recommend me to go over relays, which does makes sense! But I cant find any kind of wiring diagram for stereo or fuse #14
If anyone know where to get some STEREO HARNESS diagrams or fuse #14 wiring diagram i would very much appreciate that! I can easily got to the back of the headunit but i NEED diagram for the harness to simply check if deck gets power or not! I JUST CANT FIND IT!(

I went through all the links above and there is NONE proper wiring diagrams!(

Without BMW diagnostics you are kind of guessing at what is wrong.
The trouble is with them there are not an guarantees either.

You need to monitor your resting battery voltage and make sure the IBS
is not turning things off. Or you could try bypassing it by disconnecting it
for awhile. Disconnect the serial bit data line from the IBS and or power it
down by disconnecting power at the battery distribution block.

there are some Inpa and Ista manuals online if you use google also you can find the Bently manual if you search hard enough.

if you already have dcan cable working it is better to get BMW Rheingold software (or it's successor - ISTA+) because it will provide diagnostics and also contain all wiring diagrams for lci cars
also there is no complete diagrams of HU in it because it is not possible to draw that on one sheet but it have diagrams by function and pinouts for modules connectors
the most smart way is to remove all you've added and bring wiring to factory state if it is not working as should be because it is looking like your car do not sleep and seriously discharge battery

Anything different about Ista + ?
Lots of versions of ista floating around but
I thought most of the difference was the level
of the Daten Files.

Only looking for connector pinout wright now, the car wiring is completely stock and UNMODIFIED, also the car can stay for 8-10 days untouched in 0to-15C temperature and battery starts absolutely fine, so i don't tink its discharging abnormally

SERIOUSLY thinking of downloading and learning latest ISTA+ now....

All right, i would like to close this thread with the outcome:
I was running between two platforms that i own E70 and E90, for each one of them you HAVE to set up WinKFP individually. Simply moving Laptop from one to another will result in errors and ProgrammingStatus 12.

To begin with i was experimenting with D-Can cable with "NOT IMPORTANT" blocks like Tailgate, Sunroof, CIC controller etc (in case of some kind of problem i could still use the car), this scenario "bricked" ZBE(E70) and MULF(E90) modules. I was using somewhat expensive D-Can cable from China that i got myself back in 2015 and it was doing its job of coping with BMWStandard tools just fine prior to this!

After reading and learning on my own mistakes ive got myself the cheapest ICOM Clone that I could of find, and strangly enough it was in Canada (LINK might be dead in the future, ebay shop name - "rcshop2011 (24067)")

I recovered ZBE with WinKFP simply in comfort mode in one minute. To recover MULF i had to larn EasyConnect utility and figure out how to lock Icom to MOST_Async interface, also ive used ICOM-B interface from Chinese Icom clone package that ive got (even tho that multiple people on different forums were saying that Clone B will most likely not work) It was done in something like 5-10 minutes, im not sure maybe i got myself a one of a kind good clone, if someone has experience i can take it all a part and provide clear pics for comparison of Clones

And the most important thing, that was KILLING me over ONE year now, i fixed my radio by rewriting (it had current version on it) firmware in MOSTGW + MASK/CC along with "Boostsectorupdate" checkmark in settings of WinKFP and STD/OBD (regular) setting in Easyconnect.

Im pretty sure D-Can cable could of NOT brick ZBE if I set up WinKFP properly and it probably program my Radio properly also because it is NOT on MOST ring, but D-Can would of never recover MULF units since it IS on MOST tho...

Here is my story. ICOM is the "HEAD" for everything!)
