Ha, you bet! Actually thinking about binning the cluster and replacing it with a Motec display mounted to the wheel.

He doesn't want to do donuts, he wants it to drift because he actually does track. If you're referring to me saying I can do donuts all day long with my car doesn't mean that I do, im just stating that my traction control does remain off when I turn it off.
Why the fuck would I buy a Ford?

OK awesome! So the brakes / throttle never got cut off when doing a drift / donut when they were coded out right?

Going to be coding the car this weekend so just want to double check.

Drifting with an open diff isn't going to be nearly as much fun as a LSD upgrade, and you don't have to disable features that might save your ass.

I was able to break traction and do a couple circles with the traction control completely off. I also always pop U-turns with it off. The E-LSD works decently on the E9x series. Power never cut off.

I'm not convinced that anyone could drift worth a damn without a proper LSD, but I'd love to see otherwise.

if you don't know how to drift LSD certainly won't help you. Those that do can drift either one. Plenty of support all over the internet.

What is "either one?" LSD? Welded Diff? E-Diff? Open Diff?

Modern cars' "e-diffs" are OK - sure I can watch Chris Harris shred tires with one all day long. However I have yet to see someone pull Ken Block gymkhana moves on anything but a proper LSD. Wasn't aware that the drivers in Formula drift were still rocking factory differentials.

Been there done that with everything except for modern day e-diffs (well, extensively with everything but e-diff.. only played with e-diffs occasionally).. and I'll say it again: Open diff (yes this includes a basic nearly 20 year old designed e-diff) is way too unpredictable to drift worth a damn with. Someone suggested OP is basically a competitive drifter which is what spurred my original comment. I'm not talking about pulling an illegal u-turn on the highway to impress the traffic, I'm referring to transitions with massive smoke for a period of 30 seconds or more. There are reasons that the E9x M3 has a proper diff.

For proper drift that you are talking about not even the m3 has proper LSD. I meant LSD or Open diff when I said either one. 3 sec or 30 sec won't matter if one doesn't know what they are doing. I'm assume that have have seen this
