Retrofit Smoker's Pack Deletion?
On an e93
I think this is possible from browsing around on here - anyone know how much it would be to take out the ashtray & install the little storage area? Thanks

I did this on my E92. The sunglasses tray (which replaces the ashtray and lighter) cost about £23 from a dealer. It took me 15 minutes, but the tricky bit is moving the trim lid on the ashtray to the new part. Have a look on the DIY section on this site (mostly US comments, but a good thread).

23 seems a lot for a little plastic tray
It is useful though, and I don't like the ashtray I'll have a look for the DIY

Do you always get a 12v in the centre armrest? Looking at getting a new car and forgot to check
My current car has the pack deletion - hand for the sunnies, and a 12v in the armrest- essential as I have an iPhone There is a 12v option (575) but that mentions having one in the passenger footwell

I use the ashtray to store my house and work keys. Did not know you got a tray but cannot see the point of it

This is actually pretty easy - hardest part was getting the trim off the old part to put onto new one!

Getting the console off was actually easier than I thought.
There's a lot of wires, but they all have push connectors so simple enough. I was glad when it all worked afterwards though gl getting it off!
