700+ bhp 335i Single Turbo
Holy crap - Former_boosted_IS on the US forum has finally released the full review of his 700bhp Vishnu Single Turbo conversion.
645 rear wheel horse power (i.e. over 700bhp crank) on an otherwise standard block and internals / transmisson / manual gearbox. Over 500lbft (700nm) torque all the way to the red line! Shows the strength of the factory components. Watch video, great just after 1 min Read the whole review Awesome - could me a mod for the future! Last edited by doughboy; 09-07-2012 at 03:17 AM.. |

LOL! You never know, I might just keep this 335i for ever, its worth so little compared to what I've spent and what it does.
I've had it from new so I know every detail. I've been looking for a project car to do in the 2400sqft of old barn in the garden, so the tourer might be just that. I own it outright, no payments at all. It would cost me more to do a 500bhp escort cossy built from a 20year old ford knacker, when i could keep the 3 as a firebreathing 700bhp project tourer, starting with a 3.5 year old, great driving, modern motor with aircon and leather seats - seems like a no brainer! If it took me 3 years to do it from now, it would still only be as old as an early 06 335i is now! Last edited by doughboy; 09-07-2012 at 05:25 AM.. |

Agree... I've got 12 months left to pay off then the car is mine. If I sell it then it's gonna be worth sub 10k and I'll be back into another 3-5 year finance plan probably in a much less capable car.
Wouldn't know what to swap it for and I've invested too much to let it go, It's a keeper!! Wouldn't look a a fire breathing 700 bhp but a well maintained 420 should continue as an interesting project n see me through another few years. |

RagingKileak was talking about upgraded turbos a while ago...
Not sure a DCT would cope with the torque though!
