What? Rear Tires Bold At 13k miles

Its crazy, 13k miles on my 335i and the right rear has a big patch on the inside of the tire showing the cord, left rear almost there. I found this out after the right rear went flat. What really makes me mad is that the car was service less than 1,200 miles ago, oil change and BMW PE installed and no mention of the tire's condition. It seem the tech would have notice it while under the car. I was hoping for at least 20-25k miles.LOL

Will a little wider tire like 275/30/19 wear better than the 255's? Can the camber angle be change? Any suggestions welcome. Since I'm a paraplegic I want to keep the run-flats.

The alignment was done at 5k miles by a BMW dealer, car drove in a straight line. But I'll have them check it.

I go through rears every 9k miles runflat or not and that is all I expect from a summer tire. My DOT competition tires were good for around 5k miles!

10,000 miles or so was about all I got out of the rears on my E90 330i. The joys of having a staggered setup that can't be rotated.

Thank you all for your input. I thought about getting rid of the RFT's but like I said, I'm a paraplegic and being able to drive to a tire shop is needed.

My 07 Charger with 450 rwhp has a staggered set-up with some camber and my rear Nitto Invo tires (315/35/20) on 20x10.5 rims lasted 20k miles with a full day of autocross and 10+/- trips to the drag strip, plus spirited driving with WOT every time she goes out. The stock rear tires were 255/45/20 on 20x9 rims. This is why I was wondering if 275's in the rear may help some as far as inner wear of the tires. If not, I guess I'll be buying rear tires every 10k miles or so.LOL

Please more pics and build of your chargers!!

And RFT's should last longer than 13k. I'd recheck alignment.

Will be checking alignment and talking with service department about them not noticing the conditions of the tires when it was recently serviced.

Here's some pics and a little info on the Chargers...
2007 Charger Limited Edition SuperBee, #659 of 1,000 built. Mods to date: Arrington Power Trip Package (phase 4 heads, 607 cam, 90mm TB), Arrington phase 1 ported intake, PT 2800 converter, Kooks LT headers w/high flow cats, Corsa cat-back, Arrington CAI, 180 stat, BT catch can, Predator custom tune, Quaife LSD, DSS Level 5 axles, Petty's Garage front strut tower brace and coilovers, Speedlogix rear "arched" strut brace. Future mods: NOS system (about 600 rwhp) or 392 stroker engine with STS twin turbos (800+ rwhp). This is my play toy, 103K miles and still at WOT.

2012 Charger SRT is stock and no need to modify it.

Very nice. I'm a big Charger SRT fan. The nitrous seems like a perfect stepping stone to a stroked & STS motor

As for the run flats, they lasted well over 20k for me.. the only reason I changed them was because I got sick of hard ride, so I did about 2 weeks of donuts on a daily basis and a big burn out til they blew. Had I not done that, I'm pretty sure they'd last 30k miles.

I bought the SuperBee in Nov 06 with 3 miles on her. I only had two minor issues with her, a tranny cable connector seal lick and the fuel level sensors. The TB is already set for the nitrous lines just still on the fence about it. Do I need 600hp? Maybe The stroker with STS turbos will be my project for her in the next 2 yrs or so.

The 335i convertible is my 1st BMW and so far I love it. Its a fun ride and alot better mpg, even when playing around hard. The PPK1 and PE are the only mods I'm doing to her. I love driving with the top down just not crazy about the rear tire wear.LOL I would be happy with 20k miles out of them.

I've heard of these tires running out as quick as yours. Really depends your alignment and driving style. Stop doing burnouts! :P
