crappy 6FL stuff !
Ok, so officailly annoyed now...
Apart from the obvious failings of the interface, i.e. no A-Z search like the phone input uses, the 6FL is a good system. But why the bleeding hell are all my songs jumbled up once I'm actually looking inside a genre, there is no seeming order to the albums, alphabetical or whatever. And say I select MOS Underground 2008, It ends up playing Hed Kandi florr fillers. WTF is up with this. I need to wipe the index and start from scratch. Any advice ? SJ |

When you say wipe the index, is it stored in the car then? I thought it used the iPod? There's an official 6FL thread somewhere - might be worth posting on that as all the 6FL woes come out there. The interface is a bit frustrating...I tend to leave it on random. Apparently you can edit the genre of your clips to have A,B etc. in it then if you go in genres you can easily get to the right letter. I would've preferred voice integration though, would seem a simple logical step for them to have done that.

The index is stored on the Ipod and not in the car. It reads the file structure within your IPod - so it could be due to the way you've organised the music in iTunes ?? If you look at the genre list on the iPod itself, is it in any order or is it jumbled up as well?

1. playlists..
helps me pick all the favorite songs of a band and have in one playlist, so i dont have to fumble with it while driving. 2. have a dedicated ipod, with only the songs you like. i do both actually, so it never hits a dud, and i have another ipod i take into work with me, that has full cd's (80gb video). the playlists (which i've never used until i got this car), are working great. dave |

Hmm, my genres are all neat and tidy, all 77 of them.
If I go into a genre and click ALL the albums it comes up with are all OVER the place ! SJ |
