Great pics. I didn't get there until about 11, so a lot of people were gone already. I heard I missed some great cars (like the Ferrari race car in the pics). I'll definitely be back next time. Thank a ton for organizing this. I think its going to get bigger and bigger each month.

What time did the Ferrari show up? We were there from 8:30 until 10:40 and never saw it......Must have just missed out.

Great event BTW - Nice job organizing it.

Let's try and get a BMW event set-up in the near future to get some cool pics....perhaps a drive and BBQ? or something along those lines.

Did this weekends Cars & Coffee get moved to Kart to Kart? The FB page says it did, but just wanted to check if this is official.

Yep it's officially moved to Kart2Kart starting this weekend.
We've also bumped the start back to 8:30am. We're still trying to iron-out the coffee details, so for this month might be good to stop by Starbucks/Tim Horton's if you want anything other then just regular coffee.

Ah, well, don't think that's going to work out, you just took it from a metro-central location with lots of major in-ways and put it basically east side.

I'd be surprised if that location works out.

I can't make it this tomorrow but I will keep it in mind for next month. I'm curious to see how the new location works though. To me the ideal location would be a place with a lot that is not otherwise in use on a Saturday such as an office building or maybe a (large) bank parking lot.

Anyone going to check out the other cars and coffee?

We asked for everyone's input/suggestions last month when we found out we had to relocate. This was a suggestion from a member and ended up getting the most votes. I agree it's a bit out of the way and the Troy/Bloomfield Hills/Birmingham/Royal Oak corridor is ideal; but try finding a large (parking for 75+), free, and most important... supportive facility in that area.

The big issue we ran into when searching for a location was liability. Most business/property owners we spoke with were not going to allow it to happen without event/organization insurance and coordination with the police dept.

Nobody is forcing you to go. If you don't want to make the drive, please stay home.

So how did it work out at C2C on Saturday? Was there a good turn out? Did people generally like the new location? I want to plan on making it out for July's meet.

I took off about 11/11:30am and there was probably 50-70 cars at that point. Had a Vector W8, R34 Skyline, two ZR1's, Caterham C7, some 911 Turbos, and a bunch of others. The guys from Kart2Kart were great hosts and I have to say, the karting provided a nice break from the cars for those that were interested.

Not saying this is the location forever; but I think for 2010, this is the home of this meet.

We've tried a few times; seems likes it's hit or miss. For some reason the BMW community in Michigan isn't really strong. I'd like to do one before winter hits.
