How to Clean Coilovers

Does anyone know what stuff to use when cleaning the shocks of coilovers and also the threads, any techniques to share or products?

Just took some off and want to give them a good cleaning and get some sand out of them etc that are in the treads.

any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

use some compressed air, or shoot them off with the hose, and clean threads with a tooth brush or soft wire brush, and get the fk protective spray to keep corrosion away
