Brisbane Workshop Alpina TCU Flash

Hi Guys,

I have an 09 135i Steptronic, wanting to get the Alpina flash for it. I haven't been able to find anyone by searching that has either done it in Brisbane or knows a workshop that has.

Has anyone had it done locally? or can recommend a good first hand experience with a remote tuner?

Thanks!

I second that. Definitely get in contact with Joe @ Topgear solutions. He can log in remotely from the US and code your car. He has carried out the PPK flash and various TCU/EGS flashes for me. He is also very accommodating of the time-zone difference.

Yep he did it at 2pm on a saturday for me.

Just make sure you have a battery charger, 10+ amps I think (debatable), and a windows laptop.

I used a 15amp ctek, he told me up to 70 amps :/

He will send you a CD and cable and then remote on and do it.

Awesome, I just shot him a message. I've already got a cable on the way for MHD, so hopefully it's not a dud and can just use it.

I saw in the MHD thread a 10amp charger from Supercheap seems to do the job, so I might go pick one up.

If you have a good battery it should be fine, the flash doesn't take long.

Mine too ages because we kept having disconnections to the car and it kept failing, probably went for 2 hours, found out in the end me remote connecting to my laptop was causing it to fail.

After then it was like 15mins of flashing and it was done.

You will need the CD with the tools on it, I shipped mine to a fellow member so he could get his done quicker, all i asked was he pay postage both ways.

Quicker than waiting for it to arrive from the USA and joe had no issue, think he charges the same.
