My Alpine White E90 LCI Progress

OK so I have been a long time lurker on here looking for inspiration, a few may know me from M3cutters where I have owned & sold a couple of M3 Convertibles

1st was a Avus Blue SMG, grey leather, 19" 359 wheels from CM Wheels, lowered on Apex springs, depos etc

It did start to look a bit more OEM by the time I was finished with it

2nd was Estoril Blue manual with black heated leather, shadow chrome OEM wheels

Loved that one & still miss it but was made a good offer by a fellow forum member with the clause I got first refusal if he sells!, anyway I let them go due to lack of use as I have a daily so the M3 would spend weeks on end parked up in the garage & SORN over the winter

So now no longer having my M3 to mess around with I have turned my attentions to my gf's daily a 2012 E90 LCI M-Sport, here she is after a good polish & wax

I have had the car a while but had some time free today so thought I would start one of these threads, I have done them in the past on M3cutters etc

Angel Eyes

So first thing I did was upgrade the Angel Eye's, I used Horizon LED's as they had a good reputation on here & they also came with a year warranty just in case

Zaine was very helpful & talked me through what I needed as also ordered some LED DRL's for my daily & a HID kit for a mate's Corsa while I was on

They look like they have a greenish tint on the photos but they don't look like that in the flesh, must be my iPhone camera

Got a few more bits to update on here just uploading the photos to Photobucket atm

Big plans for the New Year are wheels, looking at 313's or some VMR's, Black grills maybe

Thanks for the kind comments, the Estoril Blue one was a great car just a shame I didn't use them I didn't get on with the SMG in the first, would have another in a heartbeat, maybe Silver Grey with Red Leather

Window Tints

So something I have been meaning to do for ages was sort out some window tints, I wanted to be careful not to go too dark so they looked OEM so I took my daily F30 with the White E90 & the guys at Custom Tint put their tint measuring device thingy on my OEM tinted windows to get a reading so they could match it on the E90

Looking at them now I am not sure if they are darker than you normally see on the E90 but as I said above they were matched to my F30 OEM tints

Comments welcome

One side above is before, one is after but you can't really tell as its up in the air.

I'll take a photo in the morning, went with 15mm on rear but as they are thin wheels it could probably do with 20mm on rear & the 15's on the front, Tyres are 225,45,17 Continental winter contact can't recommend them highly enough had some Wanli's last year & they were shocking in the wet!!!

Hoping to use the 15's on the rear MV3's in the summer

Haven't updated this in a while, I ordered a M3 style lip spoiler via eBay the guys on F30 speak highly of Emotors (iirc) so gave them a try I must say I am happy the fit & colour match seem spot on!!

Looks wicked!

Do you like your wide exhaust or would you change to a double-tip one like the (?) 330d you pictured?

I have a 320d but changed it to a double tip purely for aesthetics... but I've debadged (also for aesthetics) and worry BMW people will think I'm a 330d-wannabe!

Funny you should say that but my next job is the exhaust, I cleaned up the silver trim on the current one last week but still have the itch for twin pipe but not sure wether to go down the 330d/325d box or just get some tips welded on

Any pic's if your set up??

M3 style lip spoiler came from here

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/emotors200...1&_ipg=&_from=

As mentioned the fit & colour match look good, shipping was 5 days, apparently cheaper if you buy via eBay.com
