E90 328i Car image with service light

Car seems to be running just fine.

When I first turn it on the image of a car pops up with service above it. I've tried moving the turn signal up and down and it never brings up service info like the owner's manual states. Am I missing something?

You need to hold the little pin on your instrument cluster to get into the CBS menu.

When you start your car, the image is just informing/reminding you that a CBS item is due for service. You can't do anything with it....until you do what I mentioned above.

I pressed the stem (the one you use to reset the tripometer I assume) and it never gets me to the service info menu, it just scrolls through what is gibberish to me.

I guess I'm missing something still.

How long are pressing the button for? After entering the menu, you use the little scroll wheel thing on the turn signal stalk to navigate through the items.

Hold the BC to reset.

That's about all there is to the CBS menu....

Thanks man. I made it in there. Just call me an idiot.

However, I don't see anything that needs servicing.

I'll take it to the dealer Monday and let them take a look. I don't imagine driving 400 miles will hurt, I'm visiting family for Christmas.

That's just an inspection. It's included with BMW ultimate service. Just take the car in and they'll do it. If you're out if the Ultimate Service period it's kinda of a waste of money.
