I need an adaptive headlight module and a MAF for my 06 325i. Anyone know a place that I may be able to get these like a pick and pull or something? I moved to Tempe like 2 weeks ago.

You won't find any yards with newer models here. Sometimes the occasional part out pops up on craigslist but not often.

AutohausAZ does will call and they are located in Tempe.

New to BMW

Hello everyone, I've been lurking here for almost a year, figured I better post something. Last June I bought my first BMW, a 2010 335i X-Drive M-Sport. Love it!! Hopefully going to mod it soon, nothing serious but just enough to make it really fun.

I snapped my oil plug in half while changing my oil (85 bucks down the drain) and need it remove.
Super easy happened to me onetime.. Just drill through from underneath with oil pan ready for the spill..

When you need a JB4 G5 (If your 2010 is an N54) let me know, I will have one for sale with USB. Can even help you with the install.

Thanks, I may look you up when I'm ready. I'm leaning toward the JB4, but it will be a couple months until I'm ready for it.

Be warned however, once you start modding, you can't stop.

Airbag Tool

Does anyone in the Phoenix or east valley area have an airbag tool? I hit a bump in the road and my airbag light came on. I have been unsuccessful at resetting it using DIS, INPA, ISTA, BV Tech, and BMW Commander. I figured, before I tear into my center console to pull the module, I'd like to try an airbag tool as a last ditch effort.

I'm not sure what an Airbg tool would be but I have been able to reset most errors with the exception of my cornering light with my bluetooth diag tool and the iphone app for it. I am in Tempe.

An "airbag tool" is a specialized obd tool that only resets airbags. Is your cornering light code still present? If so, I might be able to help with that... We can meet sometime and see if we can help each other out! I'm in San Tan Valley.

Hey guys,

About to put non-RFT Pilot A/S3's on and thought i might as well get an alignment after while I'm at it. Owned the car for about 15months/15k miles. Any indy recommendations or am I just better off taking it to dealer because I htink their service is warrantied for 2 years I believe? BMW NS and Chapman on Camelback are both equally far way (15mi) and just wanted your opinions if you have personal experiences with them. I also saw a coupon on Chapman for $130 for alignment.

Thanks.

There is no shop in this world that will warranty "alignment" job.

But here is money saving info for you.
If you are in need of 4 new A/S3's as it sounds like,, Fletchers is
a great priced shop(I have Michelin A/S 3 all around).
Fantastic tires btw...

Michelin has a, I believe 150, worth of rebate good towards alignment
and other works. Fletchers do alignment for 80 I believe.
So buy 4 new tires first, than do the alignment for free.
I checked around for lowest price on tireso a year ago
and this place is the lowest in town. Check out their web.

Note: no shop in AZ torques the lug nuts properly.
Make sure to tell them 85ft lbs. Most likely they will say yes
and torque the $hit out with impact wrench. I don't think they know what
torque wrench is... Better to check it when you get home.

Enjoy...

Thanks for the info

A few months ago I got a nail in a tire and temporarily put an A/S3 on it for a day before getting the tire patched. I talked to a discount tire guy near me and he said $540 out the door for 3 tires plus free install on the 4th since I bought it from them and I like that they have free balancing for their customers since I like to get the tires balanced every year anyways. There's a Fletchers near me so I'll definitely check them out for the alignment after, sounds like a really good price.

P.S. I always tell them to torque it to 90 lbs-ft and then re-torque them when I get home. Whenever I get anything done at discount tire I stand right behind my car when they drive it onto the lift cause they dented my rim once and I didn't see it til I got home.

I was able to get that handled. We can try and reset your issue if you would like? I just had the error removed from the VO.

Fletchers is close to $90 cheaper than Discount. Plus Fletchers have $70+$70 Michelin rebate while Discount mentions nothing about it. Installation prices and state fees are exact same amount.

Fletchers also has life time balance/rotation too. Just make sure they torque it right. My wife's Lexus RX350, they torqued the hell out using impact wrench. And now the wheel lock nut is broken just the other day when I tried to take it off with lock key. I had to stand on the tire iron and the lock got broken inside the key pattern. I don't know how to take it off now since the key is broken!!! I'm so mad as hell with them. It also happened on my 335i but it doesn't have lock so when I get home, I stand on it and loosen it and torque it. Happens every time. I guess I need to watch them like you and tell them.

Also watch them when they balance the tires(probably not on new tires installs, just when you go back later for it). After the balance, it got a little better but still has the 85mph vibration. AND the super-tight lugs!!!
At the courtesy by jackasses at Mesa Fletchers...
I remember one time before when I was watching them and told the guy to use the torque wrench to 85ft lbs, so he used the maximum impact wrench, then used the torque wrench after. So when I got home, guess what? It was super super tight again...I had to stand on some of them. I'm afraid it will break off one of these days...

Really I shouldn't recommend Fletchers. But I don't think other shops are any different. That's why I said whole Arizona tires shops are ran by MONKIES and JACKASSES!!!! They need a big lawsuit to wake them up!!!

Anyhow...I got to deal with wife's car lug problem now. Call the corporate office?
