Putting cheater on their kinda makes it obvious who did it. Now the police will have a suspect. Pretty dumb, but it was probably a really pissed off girlfriend.

The old SRX was a pretty good vehicle. Cheap interior and wagonish looking( no problem with that personally) yeah, but it won C&D best luxury SUV 3 years in a row. Where was the X5? No where to be found and C&D sleeps with BMW usually.

If its a spouse, I doubt you can be put in jail for damaging what is in effect your own property. Not entirely sure about that one though.

If the car was acquired after they were married, then it is community property (at least in TX), therefore it is divided equally. Therefore, yes, you can be charged.
