Bluetooth Phone Retrofit in Glasgow
Evening all!
Decided that I want to have a bluetooth phone kit retrofitted into my 3 series. I want an OEM kit to keep the car as original as possible. Any tips? Also, and most importantly, I'm looking for recommendations for suppliers and fitters in the west of Scotland, preferably in Glasgow. Has anyone had this sort of work done in this area? Obviously want a good job done and don't really want to do it on the cheap, although would prefer to avoid the main stealer. Thanks guys!

Why not just get a BT adapter device?
It'll save you tons of money, time, and is also removable should you decide to change it to another car that you're driving or just remove it. Here is my post on the Kinivo BTC450 I bought: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=811520 Some BT gateways only allow music, but the BTC450 is not only a A2DP module (music only), but also acts like a HSP, HFP, and AVRCP, with a built-in mic for phone calls or voice commands on your phone.

Then you purchase an OBD cable to code it in. Done |

Your logic about wanting to stay "original" is simply flawed when you're talking about something like this. Why spend a grand+ when you can spend ~$30-50 and gain MORE functionality and the option of removing it later. I've owned the adapter linked above and it's great. Switched away from it and did my AirPlay install.

Had a look into this and I'm quite tempted by an adaptor kit. Was looking at a Parrot MKi9000 with UNIKA kit to allow me to use my steering wheel controls. Has anyone had any experience with this kit? I don't really want microphones hanging down from the roof of anything placed on my dashboard and would like to be able to access everything through the radio like you would with the factory install option, is all of that possible with one of these kits?
Thanks again!
